On this page, you will find basic information about the assessment process at EDUA Group. In the periods of regular assessment (in January and June), a section with more detailed information on who to assess and how to do so will be published. Otherwise, you will receive all details via email (and you will find them on Schoolpartner, of course).
Should you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask at assessment@jcl.cz.
There are four main types of assessment: Progress Tests, Revision Tests, Written Evaluations and Determining your students' level.
a) Progress Tests will be taken care of by the Course Managers responsible, teachers won't be involved in carrying them out. For more information click here.
b) Revision Tests are tests prepared by teachers and covering things that were covered in each assessment period. For more information click here.
c) Written Evaluations are a way of assessing students’ skills and progress in the assessment period. For more information click here.
d) Determining your student's level is a form of evaluation when your student's level is the only information we need to provide to our clients.
+ In any case, we will always ask you to determine your student's level. For more information on how to assess it click here.
The assessment type is chosen by the client and can’t be changed by the language school or the teacher. Details on assessment type will be available on EDUA Online in the Who and When section and on Schoolpartner.
All evaluations sent are checked and approved by a team of people who have exact instructions on what a good, complete evaluation looks like. If they believe your evaluation doesn't meet the standards, they will "send it back" to you with a specific comment attached.
We would like to remind you that carrying out the assessment of your students is obligatory and is part of a teacher's duties as described in the contract. Not sticking to the guidelines and deadline could mean a fine of 200Kc per assessment.
If there is a student on your list of students to be assessed who no longer attends the course, simply click the "Student does not attend the course" field on the upper right-hand side of the evaluation form. No need to ask the CM's for any changes in Schoolpartner, you can do so on your own.
You may fill in the evaluation forms afterwards, but this is not essential.
